Who we are
KidDaVinci ("we", "us") operates kiddavinci.com, a private archive where families and art studios keep children's artwork. Contact: support@kiddavinci.com.
What we collect
Account: your name, email address and profile photo from your sign-in provider, or the email and password you register with. Child profiles: a nickname, birth year/month and optional photo, entered by a parent or guardian. Artwork: photos you upload, plus titles, tags and dates. Technical: push-notification subscriptions you enable, and the language preference stored in your browser. We use no advertising or analytics trackers.
Children's privacy
KidDaVinci is used by adults — parents, guardians and teachers. Children do not create accounts and we never knowingly collect information directly from children. All information about a child is provided and controlled by that child's parent or guardian, who can edit or delete it at any time. Artwork is private by default; the guardian chooses if a piece is visible to family, a class, or publicly.
AI processing
When you upload a photo, we send the image to Google's Gemini API to detect the paper's corners, suggest a title and tags, and read a handwritten signature if one is visible. The image is processed for these suggestions and is not used by us to train AI models.
Where data lives
Images and data are stored on Amazon Web Services (US-West) and the website is served by Vercel. Sign-in is handled by Google or by our email verification. These providers process data on our behalf.
Retention and deletion
Deleted artwork moves to a trash bin for 30 days and is then permanently erased, including the stored image files. You can also permanently erase items from the trash immediately. Deleting your account removes your personal information right away and permanently erases the artwork of children solely in your care.
Your rights
You can access, correct and delete your data directly in the app (Settings, Children, Trash, Delete account). For anything else, email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will note it on this page with a new date.
